How I lead.

Reliability is the feature.

In fintech and healthcare, "mostly works" fails people. I build for 95% proactive detection and fast recovery before I build for flash. Observability and rollback are part of the product, not an afterthought.

Ship AI in production, not in slides.

GenAI earns its place when it moves a real number. I put RAG, Copilot tooling and ML pipelines behind the same safety, privacy and governance bar as everything else. SOC 2, HIPAA, internal AI review.

Stay close to the code.

I set architecture and the engineering bar, then stay useful in the room. Reviews, design docs, the hard migration. Leaders who lose the thread of the system lose the trust of the team.

Grow engineers, not just systems.

I mentor at UT Austin because the multiplier is people. The best thing I leave behind on any team is a higher floor for everyone on it.
